HOMES AT YWCA BROOKLYN

We offer over 300 permanent, safe and affordable homes in our downtown Brooklyn building for low-income and formerly homeless women, many who have experienced gender-based violence. YWCA Brooklyn residents are a part of an active and supportive community and receive a variety of services to help them live independently and age in place.

YWCA Brooklyn residents live in a welcoming community that promotes self-esteem and empowerment. Our residents have access to a range of services and programs that promote emotional wellbeing, good health and independent living. Individualized care is provided and residents receive assistance connecting to a range of community resources. Residents can participate in classes that improve their computer skills and financial literacy, and trauma survivors are encouraged to heal through art therapy, music programs and other various forms of self-expression. We do our best to create and provide programs that best fit the needs of our residents.
