Passing the Torch is YWCA Brooklyn’s annual celebration of our high school graduates, and it has grown to symbolize the sisterhood that comes with being a YW LEADer. It’s an opportunity for YW LEAD Alumni to speak to our recently graduated high school students about their own paths and offer words of encouragement for the next steps in their academic pursuits. It’s an inspiring day that offers a glimpse into the near future of the young women in our program, and reaffirms the strong support network and friendships that will help them along the way.

The young women from the 2025 cohort will be pursuing a variety of diverse majors from business to nursing, and mechanical engineering to musical theater. We are certain they will become leaders at their new institutions.
