The YWCA of Brooklyn offers safe, affordable housing conveniently located in downtown Brooklyn, one block from the atlantic terminal and 10 minutes from lower manhattan. our building provides 24-hour security, a comfortable living environment, WiFi in all public spaces, a rooftop terrace, and a new multiuse community center. the ywca of brooklyn provides two types of housing accommodations, both at the same location.

Women’s residence at the YWCA of Brooklyn
Our women’s residents provides over 200 units of single-resident occupancy (SRO) housing for women of all ages. the residence offers private furnished rooms with access to shared common restrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and lounges.

Sister Strength housing at the YWCA of Brooklyn
Sister Strength housing consists of 84 studio units for male or female residents. these studio units are generously sized, with fully-equipped kitchens and bathrooms located inside the unit.
