YWCA Brooklyn strongly believes that families belong together and free. That is why we stand in solidarity with YWCAs across the country in support of immigrant families at the borders and in our communities to put an end to family separation and detention.
On June 30th YWCA Brooklyn organized free bus travel from Brooklyn to Washington, DC to bring members of our community to protest the policy of family separation and to demand a stop to separating children from their families.
In DC, we gathered at Lafayette Square to protest this administration’s inhumane policy of ripping children away from their parents at the border and in our communities.
YWCA Brooklyn will continue to fight for the rights of immigrants, children and families.
