UPDATE: The deadline is now passed for YWCA Brooklyn University. Students with particularly strong applications are still invited to apply after the deadline, and may do so by emailing Danielle Guindo directly at DGuindo@ywcabklyn.org.
We are excited to launch YWCA Brooklyn University, an all-day program offering college bound high school senior young women “the real” on all aspects of college life. The event will be at the YWCA Brooklyn, 30 Third Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217 on March 25, 2017.
This workshop is designed to provide information that young women may not get from campus tours or college websites. Topics for discussion include: diversity on campus; resident life; time and money management; social groups; campus safety; and more. Applications for students are available now and due by February 10, 2017. Click here to apply online.
Admitted students will have the opportunity to socialize with and gain valuable information from young alumni from diverse institutions while forming meaningful relationships with other college bound peers. All participants will have applied to a four year institution and may or may not have already decided where they will enroll. Due to limited availability the application is competitive and students should be encouraged to submit a well-prepared application.
