YWCA Brooklyn is proud to have been a part of Girl’s Empowerment Day, an event hosted by Councilmember Jumaane D. Williams, Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams and GIRLS LEADING UP.

The purpose of the Girls Leading Up Empowerment Day is to highlight the importance of self-care and empowering young women to improve their personal and professional development; preparing them for future leadership roles in their future professional endeavors.

The itinerary for the day included performances, workshops, speed mentoring, a lunch, networking opportunities and giveaways.
