Last year the NYC Comptroller’s Office lead a push for businesses to offer more flexible work schedules to their employees through the release of Comptroller Scott M. Stringer‘s report Families and Flexibility: Reshaping the Workplace for the 21st Century (released June 2014). Around the same time, they joined the City Council in announcing legislation that would guarantee workers the right to ask for schedule adjustments to care for family members and bar employers from punishing them for making the request.

This year, a citywide survey of workers about flextime was conducted and published into digestible results through a new report Families and Flexibility: Building the 21st Century Workplace and was announced at a press conference on September 17th.
