YWCA of Brooklyn partners with the National Cervical Cancer Coalition

The YWCA of Brooklyn is delighted to partner with the National Cervical Cancer Coalition and Public Advocate Letitia James to promote awareness and education on the important topic of cervical cancer. The fact is that cervical cancer can be prevented through regular gynecological exams and it’s crucial to encourage all women to get screened annually. Rates of cervical cancer are much higher for women of color and low-income women who have less access to health information and quality medical services. We can change that – cervical cancer is preventable – and the YWCA of Brooklyn is proud to be a partner in this effort. – Martha Kamber, CEO and President, YWCA Brooklyn
