Our Special Tribute to Nelson Mandela

We celebrated International End Racism Day at the YWCA of Brooklyn on March 21, 2014 with a Special Tribute to Nelson Mandela. The Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams and Youth Poet Laureate Ambassador, Jared Green (Urban Word NYC) helped us pay special tribute to the legacy of Nelson Mandela. The Honorable Eric Adams gave a wonderful reflection about the life of Nelson Mandela, while Jared Green provided spoken word for the event. Nelson Mandela left an indelible mark on the world. His sacrifice for the sake of equality will always be remembered. We are glad we were able to pay tribute to such a wonderful human being!
