YWCA of Brooklyn assisted the Angel Works Foundation with distributing toys to children in the Kings County Hospital Children’s Unit and homeless children displaced by Hurricane Sandy. We picked up the toys in Secaucus, New Jersey and delivered the toys to the 67th Precinct in Brooklyn. A special thanks to Michael Gonnelli, the Mayor of Secaucus, for coming out to the warehouse on Christmas Eve to make sure we gained access to the toys. The 67th Precinct distributed the toys to 250 children on Christmas Eve. We were happy to be a part of a collaborative responsible for putting smiles on the faces of so many children during the holiday season.
