Every March the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office honors 33 “Extraordinary Women” for their career accomplishments and community service .
The YWCA’s very own extraordinary woman, our Executive Director Martha Kamber was honored in 2009. Since her recognition, the partnership between the DA’s office and the YWCA of Brooklyn has grown and prospered. We currently host two of the Kings County D.A programs for women who are victims of sex trafficking, and are collaborating on other projects that will greatly impact the Brooklyn Community. Please check out the video below that was shown at this year’s award celebration.
